It’s hard to believe, but Christmas is just around the corner. Over the next couple of weeks, we’ll be taking intentional time to prepare our hearts for the coming of Jesus. This is the Advent season—advent meaning “coming” or “arrival.” It’s a time set apart to ready ourselves to celebrate the birth of our Savior.

For the next two weeks, we’ll be exploring the Advent themes of Hope and Peace—two gifts Jesus came to bring. But when we look at the world around us, with all its hurt and despair, it’s easy to feel our hope slipping. So how do we look to Jesus, our ultimate source of hope?
